LifeBridge Community Services is a 170 year-old social service agency whose mission is to empower people to build a brighter future. Groundwork Bridgeport Inc

Groundwork Bridgeport is a local, community based, volunteer organization dedicated to the environmental enhancement of Bridgeport urban landscape. Groundwork Bridgeport's main goals are to convert blighted areas of the City of Bridgeport, CT into gardens, parks, playgrounds and streetscapes; and to develop and implement environmental educational, awareness and self sufficiency programs as a means of improving the quality of life for all people in Bridgeport. There is a special focus on engaging youth volunteers in field programs to gain an appreciation for their environment and to reinforce a strong work ethic.
